Construction of Central Park Boulevard, a luxury residential development in Port City Colombo, has reached a major milestone following the completion of all piling work, according to Home Lands Group.

In an announcement dated 15 October 2026, the company said the project completed its piling work within 88 days of construction commencing. The development is now moving into the next stage of construction, involving the building's superstructure.

192 Piles Completed in 88 Days

According to Home Lands, the project required the construction of 192 piles, with nine piling machines deployed to complete the work. Access Engineering PLC, San Piling (Pvt) Ltd., and D P Jayasinghe Piling Company (Pvt) Ltd were involved in the operation. 

The developer said the work was completed ahead of the planned schedule, following an earlier announcement in September that 60% of the piling work had been completed.

Piling is an important stage in construction, as it involves installing deep foundations that transfer a building's loads into suitable ground layers. Completing this phase allows the project to progress towards the construction of its main building structures.

What Is Central Park Boulevard?

Central Park Boulevard is a twin-tower residential development located in the Central Park District of Port City Colombo. It is Home Lands Group's first residential project within the development.

According to the developer, the project is planned to include one, two and three-bedroom apartments, sky villas, penthouses and Emerald Mansions. The development is also designed to offer more than 50 amenities.

The project is planned alongside a 40-acre Central Park featuring landscaped green spaces and a waterway. Home Lands has stated that the wider park development is expected to be completed within 24 months.

Project Timeline and Pricing

Home Lands stated that delivery of Central Park Boulevard is expected within 36 months from the stage reported in its October announcement. This is the developer's stated timeline and should not be interpreted as a guaranteed completion date.

The company has also advertised residences at the development from LKR 60 million. Prospective buyers should confirm current prices, availability, payment terms and any additional charges directly with the developer.

What Does This Development Mean for Colombo's Property Market?

The project's progress is another development to watch within Colombo's high-end residential property segment.

For prospective buyers, construction milestones can provide useful information about a project's progress beyond its initial launch and marketing stage.
